Disclaimer
ChinaEORInsider publishes general information about employing people in China. It is not legal, tax, immigration, accounting or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for advice on your own situation.
The part that matters most
Chinese employment rules are set nationally and implemented locally. Contribution rates, bases, minimum wages, leave entitlements and arbitration practice differ between Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen and every other city, and are reset regularly. Nothing on this site can account for your city and your facts. Before acting, confirm your position with a qualified adviser in China.
No advice, no relationship
Reading this site, or contacting us, does not create a lawyer-client, adviser-client or fiduciary relationship. We are not a law firm, tax adviser or licensed agency, and statements about Chinese law are our summary of publicly available material for general information.
Accuracy and currency
We take care with figures and cite primary sources, but Chinese amounts change frequently: contribution bases reset each July, minimum wages move on provincial timetables, and preferential tax treatments are extended or lapse. Any figure is accurate to the best of our knowledge at the review date on the page and may have changed since. Verify against the official source before relying on it for a decision or a contract.
Rankings and opinions
Provider rankings are our assessment, based on publicly available information and the criteria published on each page. They are opinions, not statements of fact, and not endorsements or recommendations to buy. No provider has paid for inclusion, position or favourable treatment. Where we describe what a provider claims — about its entity, licence, recognition or coverage — we are reporting the claim and, unless we say otherwise, have not independently verified it. Provider pricing, structure and coverage change without notice; confirm current terms directly.
Third-party sites and your decisions
Links to provider websites and official bodies are for convenience; we do not control their content and a link is not an endorsement. Decisions about how to employ people in China, which provider to appoint and how to structure an arrangement are yours, and you are responsible for your own compliance with Chinese law, including the Labour Contract Law and the rules on labour dispatch. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on anything published here.
